second post

here are some more photos from our site and the surrounding area:

View from front of lot looking at Vulcan Imbabura to the east

the top of Cotacachi volcano on a rare clear day.

Vulcan Cotacachi as seen from the east side of our lot.

I walk past this stack of corn stalks almost daily walking to town (we walk a lot here). They do have tractors here but I was surprised to find this fellow making rows to plant crops with a team of steers.
He stopped and waved as most of the natives do. They are very friendly.

The News from Ecuador

Hi everyone, we are creating this Blog to keep everyone up to date without having to send out multipule emails and still be in touch. Hope you all enjoy it. This is our new house looking at the circular front entrance we have just finished week 5 of construction.
Here is a closeup of the adobe construction. the walls will be about 14 inches thick providing good insulation for sound and creating mass for even temperatures inside. The house is situated on one of ten half acre lots in a brand new development. We already have one neighbor directly across from us and we both are in corner lots at the far end of the development. Juilo's costruction is only a week behind ours. (see below)

Below are the floor plans for our house:

As I said I will endevor to keep this updated and post to you all, if you wish not to recieve the posts just let me know and I will remove you from the distribution list.

Best wishes to all.
