Last post of 2012 inside and outside 12/29/12

Ane wanted a tour of the inside of the house today so here we go...
First Tor is welcoming you at front door.

As you walk in you see the Flower of life on the entry way floor

and further in, a view into the living area

ON your right is the entry way coat closet and bench

Going thru living room and looking back  from the kitchen towards the entry way at the living room.

At the right  the right from the kitchen you have the dining area

To the right of this photo is our beautiful fun to cook in kitchen.

Moving to the other end of the living area next to the entrance is the library

In side are lots of choices for a good read.

Going to the left from the entrance we start down the hallway and the first door on the left is the office.

If you go inside and look back you will see the fireplace

From the fireplace window corner you see Ane's desk with the Boys waiting for her to come and join them.

Going back out into the hallway we take an immediate left and look down a hall towards the guest bedroom and bathroom.

At the end of the hall on the left is the Guest bedroom with plenty of closet space for travelers.

From the office doorway we can look down toward the Media room, Master bedrrom and stairway to the upstairs playroom and balcony.

At the end of this hallway we look left into the comfortable chairs of our media room.

Going straight on we enter the Master bedroom and look at the fireplace.

Looking out thru the Yoga room doorway we see that large windowed sunny space.

From the Yoga room doorway looking back at the Bed.

The view to the left out the window to the doghouse and the back yard.

To the right of the bed is the Master Bath with tub, shower and sauna.

View into the sauna

Sinks and vanity cabinets

and complex beam work in the ceiling over them.

Back in the hall we turn left and find the stairs

From the first landing looking up

Reaching the second landing we are greeted by the Boys

From the top where the Boys were and looking to the right we find Ane's favorite place in the house these days- the puzzle table with a south east facing window.

Behind where the boys stood to greet me is the fourth fireplace in the house and the doorway to the sundeck/balcony.

Out on the balcony looking left (or west) from the doorway we see Volcan Cotacachi peeking thru the clouds.

Looking back the other direction from the wall we see Volcan Imbabura (looking to the east).

Oden is big enough now to look over the balcony wall.

Coming back into the game room we see the ceiling beams and the curved top of the stairway wall.

NOW WE GO OUTSIDE
Earlier in week the green house frame is up

and here is a close up of post and beam construction of frame.

Today the roof is on and the cement blocks have been skim coated.

The perimeter walls have been topped with post that will support the five strands of electrical wires for the security fence. (should start stringing after New Years Celebrations are over).

On the other side of the white wall above is the X Spot and from it we see the sidewalks stretching out to the front gate.

And around the turn around area.

The view from the X Spot is now blocked by the green house roof

Out front the walkway breaks for our driveway exit

and for the drive entrance

Tor made his mark in the sidewalk to the left of entrance.

I walked down to front of Paul and Angela's house which is about half way to the gate and caught Julio coming out on his scooter.

And here is the roofline of their house showing painted walls and scraped and stained beams.

The sidewalk is finnished all the way to the front gate. Just in time for the new year.

Meanwhile back in the orchard we have a Peach ripening on our 3 ft tree.

and over in the raised beds we have Kale, turnips and beets coming up in  bed on left and carrots and onions to the right.

Next to them we only got the spinach to come up the celery to the front has not made it.

and further to the tight the two beds with peas on left and bush beans on right.

We noticed yesterday that the two long beds over by the green house are showing signs of life too with very small potato plants in one and squash plants sprouting in the other.
Well it has been a big posting but we ended the year with a bang so to speak.
Happy and Prosperous New Year wishes to all.
